The proximity to the beach, the breakfast, the information about the area the staff provided was very helpful.
Personally a large resort like this isn't really our cup of tea. The place was huge and really full.
Nice pool, good opportunities for swimming/playing in the water both at the beach and in pool-area. Nice breakfast, spaceus common areas at the hotel, good room-size.
Not much to do for older children exept from taking a swim/sunbathing. Not many shops or other things to do in the area. Best suited for people who just want to stay in the pool-/beach-area, or families with small children.
I stayed there while my children were participating in a sports camp at C.O.N.I. As an oasis for me, it was perfect for relaxing poolside and seaside! I loved being able to swim in the beautiful olympic pool, walk the beach, read some books and catch up on sleep.
Perhaps the small town of Tirrenia is lacking in terms of shops and restaurants, but the hotel served my purposes exactly as I had hoped.
Centrally situated, big pool and access to beach with 2 deck chairs and an umbrella included in the price. Close to Pisa Airport.
The location and the spaciousness of the building. The views towards the sea.
Good transport by bus to Pisa. Expensive taxi fare to hotel from airport. Could there be a hotel transport service for guests to pay for instead - to Pisa and to airport.
cost of restauraunt set meal was not displayed and over priced for what it was. having to wear a swim hat in hotel pool
The pool, and ocean. Nearby the best meal in Italy at Frivolo on via degli oleandri 57.
Hot rooms, ac very poor. Some of desk staff and the gym rude. Tons of open lounger, but only three face ocean, restricted to face boardwalk going down to the beach, see orange umbrellas are only allowed, even with tons open on water front!!
The hotel was very clean and the room was well equipped with very good air conditioning, a fridge, a hairdryer etc. However the smell in the en suite was not very plesant - probably coming from the town sewers.
Smell in the en suite. We were only staying one night so it wasn't worth causing a fuss but I could not have stayed longer due to this smell. The en suite was very clean but the smell was quite sickening.
Good room size and close to the hotel beach
No shuttle service from Pisa, which is mentioned in the brochure. the brochure needs to change
Location, beach, parking, pool
They deposit 50 eu parking card. But do not mention it when check-out.. So guest must keep it in mind all the time to return the card and back his money back.
The location of the Grand Hotel is at the beach which is wonderful. The swimming pool is great and it is nice to be in a pool that you can swim in. Wonderful place for relaxing.
"Free parking". This is not really true. Free public parking is only possible from monday - thursday when there is no market. Parking from friday to sunday is quite costly at the hotel.
We would not stay in this hotel again. It is not 4* both in quality of the rooms and the food in the resturant.
Close to the beach. Breakfast ok. Our cleaning staff were nice.
We asked for a non smoking room, and finally got one on our 4th try. The desk personnel refused to help us after complaining the first time, a guide was kind enough to take over helping us. The pictures are lying, this is not as nice as it seem. You need a cap to swim in the pool, and you have to buy it. Forget to borrow the bikes! They are rusted and dangerous and not for people higher than 160 cm. Water and drinks are overpriced.
next to beach and good reception staff
Big swiming pool (professional one 25 m), big own beautifull territory. Very close to sea location. Good brakfast, huge balcony. Good bars. Very close to Pisa to see Pisa tower (15 min driving) Good underground parking with exit directly to hotel's lobby.
WiFi is working good only at first floor but was writen that everywhere (all territory).
